I still am not sure how or when she actually got her shirt into this position. It is just further proof that over the last few days, I just don't know what to expect at naptime. I sure hope that very soon we return to the predictable, easy way that naps have always gone.

Nap Time Trials
Normally, Averi goes down for naps very easily and quickly falls asleep. Such has definitely not been the case the last few days. Today after I went through the usual naptime routine of reading books, drinking milk, and singing songs and was about to put her in her crib, she began to cry loudly and cling to me. I assured her that I loved her and that I would be in the next room and put her down and left the room. She proceeded to cry and scream loudly for about 5 minutes. Then I guess when she decided that her loud protests were getting her nowhere, she abruptly stopped and started playing and babbling in her crib. This continued for the next hour and a half. Well, then all of a sudden, she started screaming again. I figured she must have dropped her binky so I went to get it for her and get her resettled to hopefully finally fall asleep. To my surprise, she had a binky in her mouth, but was still screaming and pointing to another binky on the floor that she must have found in her crib. Because she was so upset, I got her out of the crib and told her I would sing two songs to her. She snuggled up close to me and I sang the first song. Then I said, "I am going to sing 1 more song" and held up one finger for her to see. I sang the 2nd song. Then I said, "Okay, that was the last song". Averi immediately held up 1 finger as if to ask me to sing just 1 more song. Although it was very cute, I knew if I sang 1 more song this time, I would be there all afternoon singing 1 more song, so I put her back into the crib again and she immediately began to wail. However, in just a minute or two, she was quiet and finally took a nap for the next two hours. However, our naptime adventures were not quite over. When I went into Averi's room to get her up from her nap, I was greeted with the following very funny sight:

I still am not sure how or when she actually got her shirt into this position. It is just further proof that over the last few days, I just don't know what to expect at naptime. I sure hope that very soon we return to the predictable, easy way that naps have always gone.
