Future Buckeye?!?

Today was the first day of the Ohio State 2009 football season.  At the beginning of the game, Averi came and sat on my lap and 

as we watched the game together, we had this conversation:

Averi:  When I get big, I play football.

Me: Okay, but usually the boys play football and the girls cheer.

Averi (after watching more of the game):  Mommy, talk about when I get big.  

Me:  What do you want to do when you get grow up?

Averi:  I want to be a boy and do this (pointing at 

the TV screen)

Me:  You want to be a boy and play football?

Averi:  Yes!

Not sure if she is saying "We're #1" or "This is the 1st game of the season"

It's fun to cheer on the Buckeyes!

Averi kept asking me, "Why do we have these shirts?"  And then also, "Why Granddad and Grandma no have these shirts?"
