Averi was in her first parade today--Pickerington's July 4th parade. She and I rode on the We Joy Sing float. We Joy Sing is the music class we take Averi to each week. It is such a great program that introduces musical concepts in a fun way and gives parents all kinds of songs, rhymes, dances, games to do with their kids. Averi loves the class each week and I love the tips on how to use music at home to make even things kids don't like (i.e. cleaning up toys) fun. I cannot tell you how many times, I have used activitie
s we have done at We Joy Sing class to help diffuse a potential meltdown whether at home, at the airport, in a parking lot, on an airplane, or
at church. So anyways, we were pleased to have the
opportunity to be on the We Joy Sing float to help spread the word to other parents about this awesome program! Anyways, Averi was in heaven because on the float, we got to sing all the songs from class and play all the instruments for about an hour and a half!
The lady walking behind the truck is Averi's teacher, Mrs. Lynette!
