During potty training, one of the rewards I gave Averi was play dough. Thus, we spent much time playing with it the last several weeks. Two things she really liked making out of the playdough were snakes and balls.
I could never have dreamed how much snakes and balls would soon become a part of our daily conversations. Several days ago, when Averi went poo poo in the potty, she immediately jumped down, looked in the potty and made the sign for "snake"as well as a hissing sound. The next time she went "poo poo", she again looked in the toilet and signed "snake". However, this time, the "poo poo" looked more like little balls which I told her. Ever since, whenever Averi has to go "poo poo", she says "ball" and signs "snake" over and over. Then after she has gone "poo poo", she has to check in the toilet to see what is there. If there is a "snake", she climbs back on the potty and says "ball" and tries to go potty some more. If there is a "ball", she wants to try for a "snake". Not sure why she is so fascinated with what her "poo poo" looks like, but we have sure been getting some good laughs from it!
